The TriState Astronomers will hold its annual fall public star party at Antietam National Battlefield on Oct. 10 and 11. Telescopes will be set up both evenings near the Visitor’s Center parking lot to view the fall night sky. You’ll be able to see Jupiter, the moon and many deep space objects like the Great Andromeda Galaxy. A variety of telescopes will be available to look through, something quite handy if you are contemplating a holiday purchase of your own.
If you have a telescope or binoculars, bring them if you wish. The event will be from 6 to 11 p.m. The event will be canceled if its cloudy. There is no charge.
